Kristin LaTour “Items of Value to a Dying Man”

by

Necessitating a very short list of “Items of Value to a Dying Man,” Kristin LaTour includes “a white demitasse cup, placed/on a cracked saucer so it reminds him/of the smallness of time and the precariousness/of trying to accomplish even simple things, like a sip.” The poem was first published in Midwest Quarterly.

The poem film is an amalgam of the work of many artists. The poem is by Kristin LaTour. The video remix is by Nic Sebastian using images by Peter Gric and a soundscape by Jarred Gibb. The work originally appeared at the poetrystorehouse.com.

Kristen LaTour’s most recent chapbook is Agoraphobia, from Dancing Girl Press (2013).
