David Braziel “I Am Not a Poet”

Born in East Grinstead, David grew up in Stafford, studied computer science at Hatfield, and Keele university, married and moved to Northern Ireland settling in Portadown where he lives with his wife and two sons.

David writes poetry and short stories, reaching the final three in the BBC short story competition, ‘End of Story” in 2004. Since 2012 David has begun to perform his poems at readings, open mic nights and poetry slams around Northern Ireland. In September 2013 he was delighted and astonished to reach the final in the Ulster heat of the All Ireland Slam Poetry competition.
